Description: St. Johns River State College is inviting interested eligible bidders to submit proposals for our athletic field turf care services. St Johns River State College is issuing a competitive request for proposal to include services required to perform fertilization, weed, insect prevention and control, plus field improvement processes to our Athletic fields. Our goal is to provide the needed services required to promote a safe, healthy and aesthetic turf surfaces for our college athletic programs. The contract for this RFP will be awarded to the vendor who best meets the need of the college.

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING & TOUR OF THE GROUNDS: The college will conduct a pre-bid meeting and host a tour of the grounds on September 25, 2017. The meeting will begin at 10:00am. The meeting will be held on the Palatka Campus in the Board Room, Building A, Room A-152 in order to facilitate a tour of the grounds for which services will be expected to be rendered by the awarded bidder. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting and tour is a mandatory requirement to be considered a ‘Responsive Bidder’. This will be the only time the College staff will be available to respond directly to questions regarding services as described in the specifications listed in Section 5.0.

St. Johns River State College will conduct a Public bid/proposal opening at 2:30pm on Thursday, October 17, 2017. The meeting will be held on the Palatka Campus in the Board Room, Building A, Room A-154. The meeting is open to the public, bidders are welcome to attend but will not have the opportunity to speak.

The college will conduct an evaluation committee meeting in an effort to select the vendor in which the committee intents to award the contract to on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. The meeting will be held in the College’s Board Room, located at 5001 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka Florida Building A, Room A-154 beginning at 10:00am EST. The Meeting is open to the public; bidders are welcome to attend but will not have the opportunity to speak.
