DESCRIPTION:
Upgrade portions of the existing campus infrastructure, specifically the existing chilled water and the existing power feed serving the V Building. Scope of work includes intercept and increase size of chilled water line serving V Building and extend to within 5’ of V Building new addition mechanical room; replace power feeder and conduit from Central Plant with new and extend to V Building new addition ready for connection to electrical panels in mechanical room; and, address miscellaneous associated impacts to existing paving and vegetation. Coordination is required with the V Building addition/renovation contractor.

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting-Public Meeting
Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting by invited pre-qualified contractors, or their representative, as a primary bidder is a requirement in order to be eligible to bid on this project. Attendance will be taken. The meeting will be held on June 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the Outside Covered Pavilion on the south side of Building H, on the SJR State Campus, 2990 College Dr., St. Augustine, FL. A tour of the work site will immediately follow the meeting. Social Distancing will be observed. This meeting is open to the public, and attendance by potential sub-contractors is always welcomed but not mandatory. An overview of the plans and scope of work will be verbally discussed at the meeting.

BID RECEIPT DEADLINE
Sealed bids, clearly marked on the outside with the name of the firm and BID-SJR-01-2020, are due to Beverly J. Barker, Director of Capital Contract Management, St. Johns River State College, Business Office, 5001 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Florida 32177 by 2:00 p.m. on July 16, 2020. Bids will only be accepted at the Business Office Window in Building A on the Palatka Campus and must be received by the deadline of 2:00 p.m., July 16, 2020, in order to be considered. Masks are required to be worn while on the campus and social distancing will be observed. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure delivery to the correct location. Faxed, e-mailed, conditional, improperly identified submissions, and bids delivered to the wrong location, and/or not received by the deadline at the location listed above will not be considered. The College is not responsible for any expense incurred by the bidder in responding to this bid.

Bidders are cautioned to make no assumption concerning award until the notice of intent to award bid is posted on this web page which is expected on July 20, 2020.
