St. Johns River State College is partnering with BloomBoard to offer a paraprofessional program. Participants learn and then practice what they are learning within the classroom and demonstrate their abilities with hands-on classroom experiences.

Dates: January 8, 2024 - April 26, 2024 (16 weeks)
Times: Classes held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or online, at your convenience

Program Details

GED + ParaProfessional IET Course

  • Classroom instruction will include BloomBoard Micro-credentials in addition to Adult Education & Literacy skills, Workforce Training, Workforce Preparation activities, and preparation for both the GED and ParaPro certification exams.
  • Improve your job prospects and earning potential with skills and credentials making you career ready from day one.
  • Earn the following micro-credentials, in preparation for the ParaPro certification exam:
       • Supporting a Positive Classroom Culture
       • Leading Small Group or 1-on-1 Text-based Instruction
       • Supporting Students in Math
  • Students are required to have an NRS score of 4 or higher in either math or reading… not there yet? We will help you get there.

There is a one-time 30.00 USD registration fee while the cost of the course, GED exam and the first attempt of the ParaPro exam are COMPLETELY FREE.
