Dual to Degree
Students who have completed dual enrollment courses or their A.A. Degree and wish to continue pursuing an A.A. degree, apply for one of our bachelor’s Degrees, or prerequisites for university transfer can apply through the college website. No application fee is required, as they will submit a readmission application and follow the traditional enrollment process. Upon completing the application, students will receive email notifications at the email address provided outlining the next steps.

Student Resources
The Learning Resources Center at SJR State offers class guides, tutorials, test prep and wellness materials to assist student in navigating life and stresses as a college student.

Academic Support
SJR State students can get FREE tutoring in math, writing and science at each campus library when classes are in session. Additional subjects may be available at each Academic Support Center location.

Career Services
Career development begins while you’re preparing for your career before you even do your first interview. The mission of SJR State Career Services is to provide instruction and resources to prepare you to discover and find success in your career.

Student Disability Assistance
Disability coordinators are available in the Academic Advising office to ensure access to accommodations for those students determined eligible. Special assistance is available with academic orientation, registration, academic planning and equipment. In addition, specialized services are available to students whose disability prevents them from participating fully in classroom activities.

Student Ombudsman
The Student Support Ombuds Office at SJR State promotes holistic student wellness through early intervention and support, helping students succeed at college and beyond. The office provides referrals for housing, food insecurity, childcare, and disability resources, and serves as a liaison for homeless students. In collaboration with college faculty and staff, the ombuds addresses various wellness concerns, including intellectual, occupational, physical, spiritual, environmental, and social areas. Additional support includes case management, goal setting, academic assistance for at-risk students, and workshops on wellness and college success, aiming to remove barriers and ease the transition to college.

Viking Exchange
The Viking Exchange is for SJR State students who are in need of some essential goods. Students can visit the Viking Exchange any time, no questions asked, and take what they need.
