Step 1: Print the Homeschool Checklist
Track your progress using the “Homeschool Checklist” . Check each box as you complete a
step to be sure all requirements are met. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Step 2: Online Dual Enrollment Application
Complete the SJR State Dual Enrollment Application online. Please select “Dual Enrollment – Private or Home School” for the Admit Type when you create your application account. Do NOT select the county you reside in. Your parent will need to sign the Student/Parent Consent Form. The Counselor Recommendation/Consent Form must be sent to your parents’ email address for them to sign as your “counselor”. Once your application is approved by the Admissions Department, you will receive your student ID number at the email address you provided during the application.
Step 3: Provide Test Scores
Counselor/Parent must upload ACT, SAT, PERT, PSAT, CLT, or accepted placement test scores when they complete the Counselor Recommendation/Consent Form. If you do not have test scores, schedule a PERT test with the SJR State Testing Center. Scores are for Math and English placement; no minimum scores are needed for admissions. Visit the Testing Center webpage for more information and to pay for the PERT test.
Step 4: Verification Form
Registered Homeschool with county
Fill out the top half of the Homeschool Verification form and have the county representative complete the bottom portion. After the county portion has been filled out, the Counselor/Parent must upload the form when they complete the Counselor Recommendation/Consent Form.
Contact county representatives as follows:

If you are receiving the PEP scholarship, you will not be registered through the county, and you do not need to send the form to them. Instead, please complete both portions of the form with your award details.
Step 5: Sign the Homeschool Articulation Agreement
Review and sign the current academic year’s Homeschool Articulation Agreement. Include the signed signature page in your final packet.
