LPN BRIDGE TO ASN

Associate in Science Degree in Nursing

This degree program is targeted to assist Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who want to take their education and skills to the next level. The LPN Bridge program will give students a jump start on earning their A.S. degree in Nursing by awarding 10 college credit hours toward the degree. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

Program Length:

  • 4 Semesters: The A.S. degree program can be completed in approximately 4 semesters
  • Four years: Complete your A.S. degree and continue your education with SJR State’s Nursing: RN to BSN - Bachelor of Science Degree. (ONLINE PROGRAM)

Location: The program is a hybrid program with nursing core classes held online and on the St. Augustine campus. Classes are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Twelve hour clinicals are usually one day during the week, at health care facilities around the SJR State tri-county service area.

The program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and may be applied toward a BSN degree at Florida’s state colleges and universities.
