SJR State presents a “Lunch & Learn” pollination presentation
St. Johns River State College will hold a presentation on Pollinators: Color from the Eye of the Bee-holder, Tuesday, June 21 beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the Palatka campus. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch or order from the campus food service, the LunchBox.
Presented by horticulture agent Julio Perez of the UF-IFAS Extension Putnam County, “Every creature has a different way of seeing the world. Pollinators see the world in a much more diverse way than we humans do,” Perez said. “From bees to hummingbirds, learn about how these different pollinators see color and examples of the kinds of flowers they are attracted to.” A Q&A will follow.
The presentation is an initiative of the Tree Campus program and will be held in Valhalla Hall in the A building.
