SJR State offers students money-back guarantee
Beginning this spring, graduates of the nursing (ASN), respiratory care and law enforcement programs at St. Johns River State College may be eligible for a tuition refund, if they are unable to find employment in their field of study within six months of meeting requirements.
“SJR State’s exceptional instructors, academic and career support, and partnerships with local employers give us confidence in this money-back guarantee,” said President Joe Pickens. “We’re proud of the caliber of our graduates and the high-demand careers they are beginning in two years or less.”
SJR State’s job placement rates for 2020/2021 graduates within the three programs rank at 89% for criminal justice, 97% for nursing, and 100% for respiratory care.
Students eligible for the guarantee may receive a reimbursement of tuition based on the following formula: tuition assessed minus institutional scholarships or grants received. Please note, only tuition is included in this guarantee, any fees and other expenses and/or charges are excluded. The guarantee is available for the Associate in Science Degree in Nursing, Associate in Science Degree in Respiratory Care and the Florida Law Enforcement Academy Career Certificate.
The money-back guarantee program, created by the Florida Legislature in 2021 as part of the Reimagining Education and Career Help (REACH) Act, was designed to enhance accountability across the state’s workforce development system.
