SJR State Palatka Campus to hold Career Fair
Local and regional employers will be on campus to present career opportunities in banking, government, human services, manufacturing, restaurant, retail, healthcare and more.
St. Johns River State College will aid students, graduates and the public in answering their biggest career question – “Where are the jobs?” with a career fair on the Palatka Campus, Wednesday, November 13, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
According to SJR State career services coordinator Michelle Fox, local and regional employers will be on campus to present career opportunities in banking, government, human services, manufacturing, restaurant, retail, healthcare and more. “Attendees can expect a wide range of job opportunities, from entry-level to professional roles,” Fox said.
Attendees are encouraged to update their resumes and dress for success.
Businesses/organizations attending the event include:
- Manufacturing: CertainTeed, Vac Con, Veritas Steel, Staffing with Bliss
- Finance and Government: Ameris Bank, Florida Department of Health, Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, Putnam County Clerk of Court
- Education and Workforce Development: Putnam County School District, Putnam County Chamber of Commerce
- Additional Resources: JaxUSA Partnership, CareerSource NEFL
- First Coast School of Real Estate: Learn about the pre-licensing course
- Bass Capital Radio Podcast will broadcast live and give students a look at podcast production
- SJR State’s Adult Education: Learn how easy it is to earn your GED.
Need skills? SJR State representatives will be available with information on 30+ technical programs from business/clerical skills to robotics and simulation.
