Associate in Science Degree

The Stage Management Associate in Science degree program prepares students for entry-level careers in Stage Management and Directing. From pre-production paperwork through opening night and beyond, students are mentored in all aspects of the production process. Because stage managers serve as the central communications hub for production, students are trained in each area – lighting, costumes, acting, directing, sound, music, etc. Teamwork, organizational and communication skills, time and personnel management, and delegation are all key areas of emphasis in the training program. From their first semester of enrollment students, stage managers are given positions of responsibility on the main stage, black box and touring shows at the school.
