Full-Time Employee Tuition Assistance
Employee/Dependent Scholarship Application (ISTAFF)
- Covers classes offered by St. Johns River State College Only
- The program will cover 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring and 3 credit hours in the Summer.
- Classes MUST be taken outside of employees’ scheduled work hours.
- Must be employed full-time for at least 6 months to be eligible.
- Employee’s spouse or IRS classified dependents also qualify.
- Employees can split the credit hours covered with their spouse or dependent. For example, the employee can take 3 credits and the spouse/dependent can take 3 credits in the same semester.
- Spouse/Dependents do not qualify for the 3 credit hours in the Summer semester.
- Applications can be found on MySJRState employee tab under the human resources section in the column on the right.
Tuition Reimbursement Program
- Covers classes offered by other institutions.
- Grants reimbursement for classes leading to a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degrees or for job-related professional development and certification programs.
- Must be employed full-time for 1 year before eligible.
- Employees must submit an education plan that demonstrates the benefit to the employee and the college.
- Full or partial reimbursement, subject to approval and funding availability.
- Information and applications will be sent by email to all faculty and staff in January, which will include a deadline date for applications.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
- SJR State is a qualifying employer for public service loan forgiveness.
- Must be employed full-time and have made 120 qualifying payments on your loan.
- SJR State will need to verify your employment on the form.
