DUAL ENROLLMENT, EARLY ADMISSION, EARLY COLLEGE PROGRAM

If you are a high school student in Clay, Putnam, or St. Johns County, now is the time to start thinking about your college plans. In fact, with St. Johns River State College's Dual Enrollment program, you can ease your transition to college and get ahead on your college courses while you're still in high school.

Students can participate in the following programs through our office:

Dual Enrollment provides eligible accelerated high school students the opportunity to simultaneously earn both college credit and a high school diploma. Students may take a maximum of ten (10) Dual Enrollment credits in the fall and spring terms, and six (6) to eight (8) Dual Enrollment credits for the summer term (for a total of 2 courses maximum). Students looking to complete their AA degree simultaneously with their high school diploma can access an example course plan here:
Dual Enrollment Pathway to the Associates in Arts Degree.

Early Admissions is a form of Dual Enrollment for eligible high school junior and senior students. These students must enroll in a minimum of twelve (12) and a maximum of sixteen (16) Dual Enrollment credit hours each fall and spring term. The student should work closely with an academic advisor to work out a Summer semester course load that can be successfully completed. Early admission students may only attend college courses and may not be enrolled in any high school classes.
